Emergency Film Group - The award-winning leader in video and DVD-based training for hazmat & terrorism emergency response. Since 1987, Emergency Film Group has produced and distributed award-winning training films, videos and DVDs of interest to the hazardous materials, counterterrorism, environmental and emergency response communities in both the public and the private sector. Tom Rancich serves on the Emergency Film Group's Technical Committee. 

Institute for National Security and Counterterrorism (INSCT) - This multidisciplinary, university-based center provides instruction on combating terrorism strategy, seminar guidance and primary source information. Based at Syracuse University. LTCDR Thomas Rancich, Ret., is an INSCT associate.

Navy SEALs & Special Operations

Some of the many online resources related to special operations forces, especially U.S. Navy SEALs.

AuthentiSEAL - Met someone who claims to be a U.S. Navy SEAL, and not sure whether they are legitimate? The AuthentiSEAL web site offers information about how to verify someone's claims, along with stories of imposters. 

Douglas C. Waller, Commandos - Author Doug Waller featured Tom Rancich in his Newsweek article, "Hell Week," which was later included in Waller's book, Commandos. Waller's web site includes information and excerpts from this and his other books.

Naval Special Warfare - This official U.S. Navy web site provides information about the SEALs , the Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen (SWCC), and the "Leapfrogs" parachute team. Topics include the history of the U.S. Navy SEAL teams, their Special Operations missions, requirements for joining the teams, and SEAL training (BUD/S and beyond).

Richard D. Schoenberg, The Only Easy Day Was Yesterday - Richard Schoenberg had the opportunity to photograph U.S. Navy SEALs in training at Coronado. His web site features sample photographs from the resulting book, The Only Easy Day Was Yesterday: An inside look at the training of the Navy SEALs.
